Everything you need to know
PLAB 1 is an applied knowledge test (AKT) and is normally for doctors who graduated from medical schools outside the UK, EEA, or Switzerland. To register with the General Medical Council (GMC) and practice in the UK, you will need to take the PLAB 1 exam. Firstly, the GMC requires you to have passed either an OET or an IELTS exam to show you can communicate safely in English before you are able to sit PLAB 1. The PLAB 1 test is designed to examine your knowledge on care of patients - less about reciting facts. Questions are designed to test your knowledge of best practice in the UK and UK hospital equipment. PLAB 1 study material can be difficult to get right, but at Pastest, we have you covered. Our PLAB 1 question bank has over 3500 exam style questions and expanded material flashcards to help you prepare for the exam. With our app, you can even track your medical revision PLAB 1 progress!
You are allowed to take the PLAB 1 four times. If you fail all four times, you can apply for one final attempt, but you'll need to demonstrate that you’ve been doing further learning and skills development. You must show that you've been actively working on your medical knowledge and clinical skills. Paying close attention to your PLAB 1 study material is a great way to prepare properly for the exam, to make sure that you can pass first time! Our PLAB 1 question bank contains over 3500 questions, so you can feel confident and assured when you go into the exam.
