The Primary FRCA exam is the first part of the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and consists of three different exams.The FRCA consists of a multi-choice answer exam (MCQ), an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), and a Structured Oral Examination (SOE). Each SBA question has five plausible options. Candidates must decide which is the correct or best answer. In terms of marking, one mark is awarded for each correctly answered SBA. The exam takes place three times a year - in February, September and November - and costs £325.
