Pastest Med Students has been developed by Medical Educators to ensure we cover every aspect of the curriculum. From Pre-Clinical to OSCE. We have incorporated best-in-class Question Banks; Detailed Revision Notes, covering every topic you'll need, and interactive Flashcards and Spot Diagnosis to test you during those quick-fire revision nights! We've worked with leading Educators across the Top UK Medical Schools and our team of Doctors and Teachers are as passionate as we are when it comes to providing the best content, in the most efficient way.
Our Undergraduate Programme Director is Dr. Cameron Whitley, who graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020 with an intercalated degree in psychology.
Having worked in a wide range of specialties including emergency medicine, general practice, general surgery and specialty medicine Cameron brings a wealth of experience to the Pastest team.
Cameron is equally invested in education and during his time at university, worked part-time as a tutor for students applying to Oxbridge medicine. Cameron continues to teach medical students on the wards and organises revision seminars for high-yield medical school topics.
Cameron has invested his time and expertise in the new Med Students resource:
"We’ve created Pastest Med Students to help you learn smarter, not harder! This will allow you more time to focus on other projects or simply enjoy your university experience!"
The UK Medical Licensing Assessment (UKMLA) is a brand new exam that will test the knowledge, abilities and behaviours required to work as a doctor in the UK.
All UK medical students will be required to sit the exam before they graduate.
The UKMLA will enable the General Medical Council (GMC) to maintain high standards in medical education and will contribute to patient safety by ensuring that doctors have the information and skills necessary to practice safely.
The UKMLA will be delivered in two parts - the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and the Clinical and Professional Skills Assessment (CPSA) - both of which assess a range of knowledge and competencies, outlined in the MLA learning outcomes.
The AKT will be composed of 150 to 200 single-best-answer (SBA) questions drawn from a central bank controlled by the GMC, and will be similar in content and difficulty level to Medical Finals exams. The CPSA is a practical exam that assesses clinical skills and professionalism, similar in format and marking to the UK medical school Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
We have built the only medical school resource that incorporates everything you will need from your first day to graduation. Pastest Med Students provides all the revision material needed as well as introduces you to the format of the exam, exam timings, and question vignettes.
